Kell Trophy Case

The 2006 Kell High School baseball team was the first class in Kell's short history to experience playoff baseball, and boy did they. After finishing second in the region, the team advanced thru the playoffs sweeping Cobb rival Harrison at home, taking 2 at raucous Parkview, sweeping Tift County at home, and then traveling to Collins Hill to again take 2 in a hostile environment. That set up the cross town showdown with Lassiter, with Kell dropping a rain-soaked heartbreaker in the first game in 12 innings, and then losing an emotional second game to finish the season as the 2006 State Runner up.

To commemorate this achievement, the parents of the 2006 team made personal donations and Allen Williams graciously agreed to build a trophy case that sits outside the Varsity locker room, to hold this trophy and hopefully many more to come. Congratulations Longhorns!
